“Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.”
This quote is by Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, a Persian poet.
I shared this quote because we live it these days. People raise their voice, they yell and scream but the words are low. No! Don’t raise your voice and use bad words. Raise your words, let them have a meaning and let them reflect you, not demean you or scare people from you. And if you can’t help it and you need to yell, do so but at least throw in dignified words.
My parent is like that. He yells and loses tempers by using bad words and prevents anyone from fighting back or saying another word. Instead of bringing me closer to him, I am pushed back. Now, I have to think more than twice before opening my mouth.
